"Prof. Russell is very engaged in trying to help students develop the necessary economics skills to do well in class, giving us constant feedback and support at the risk of having to repeat herself multiple times. She is patient and concerned for student success." EC 311 Winter 2025
"I have struggled in this class since day one, yet Professor Russell helped me get through every step of the way. I failed my midterm, tanking my grade from an A to and F. I was certain at that point I had to drop the course and change my minor. However, I emailed Brietta and asked to meet. She carved some of her free time out immediately, squeezing me in her busy schedule between as cycling class and lecture. She came prepared with a plan of how we could get me to a passing grade and further my understanding of future class material. As the term went on we continued to email and meet during office hours, and prep before the exam. I cannot express enough how great she is about communicating with students both in and outside of class. Students are engaged and actively ask questions that she answers in depth in lecture, as well as makes additional time for everyone who needs it. " EC 311 Winter 2025
"Overall, great professor! The teaching methods are great, and I have learned a lot this term." EC 311 Spring 2025
